Course Calendar

Hello team,

Some courses are not working as interned for teachers. When a teacher selects a course and try to access the course calendar, they are being redirected to another page. We found a work around this issue by having them select a material from the drop down menu.

Please share any comments or suggestions you may have.

    I'd be happy to look further into this for you. Can you please elaborate more on exactly what you are seeing when you are trying to access the calendar? Additionally, please share the exact steps that you are taking to reproduce this issue along with a complete screenshot of what you see when you try to access the calendar.

     Select a field from All Material and then will be able to click on calendar events and exam links

    Hi Karim,

     

    Thank you for providing us with this detailed information.  I reviewed this information with the Schoology Help Desk and it appears that there is something in the Description's HTML coding causing the incorrect information to display.  The Support Engineers are reviewing this issue and working towards a resolution. Once we have more information or a release is fixed, we will update you via this thread.

    Also, do you happen to know if the teacher experience the issue re-entered the description for any assignments that were causing the issue?

    Hi Karim,

    The ticket # is 519747. However, after reviewing this issue with the Engineering Team, it appears this behavior is occurring due to the width of the HTML coding.  The engineering team found that the folder structure in each course has a folder: Week 7 - Adjusting Accounts, Assignment 3. The description of this seems to be pushing the width of the HTML into the right navigation. If possible, the teacher should consider re-creating the description without copying and pasting anything in it. 

    At this time, it is our recommendation to re-create the description as it seems it may contain static CSS that is causing the HTML to expand over the events calendar. If the teacher wants a quick fix, they can just remove the description of Week 7 - Adjusting Accounts, Assignment 3 and the page will go back to normal.
