We have gone to descriptors for our reporting. So instead of percentages or letter grades we use "Exemplary" "Proficient" "Approaching" and "No Evidence Yet". Student receive feedback based on rubrics using these descriptors.
However, when we create rubrics or enter grades we have to use numbers Exemplary =4, as an example. This is incredibly confusing to parents, students, and teachers. We have to say "ignore the numbers" a lot.
We would like to be able to get rid of all references to numbers in our reporting system and only use the terminology. Is this something that Schoology would be investigating as more schools start going gradeless.
