Request Access and Copying Question


Hi There!

This is our first year using Schoology at my district and I have two questions/concerns from our first week using it with students. 

1) When the teachers add assignments to their courses such as google slides, there are some periods/classes that can access the google slide, then the next period/class will say "request access" when they click on the assignment. It's the same slide for all classes, but it opens for some and not the others (a class not just a single or a few students) ??

2) When a teacher copies assignments from course to course it does not always copy to all courses. The folder might be there but the contents in the folder have disappeared. Same for a single assignment, it's not always copying to all courses.

    Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

    Do you know if the students were using their personal devices when logging into Schoology?  It's possible that they were logged into their personal Google accounts on a shared device. Typically, clearing the cache and deleting cookies on the browser resolves the issue. 

    If you are copying Google Drive assignments, they are not portable. When you copy a Google Drive assignment to another course, the Google file does not come with it. Only the Schoology assignment information (title, description, etc.) is retained. You can attach the Google file to the copy of the assignment in the destination course.  Here's a Help Guide with more information on this process.
