Switch account to instructor not student

Seguir

I have a Schoology account that must have been created due to my involvement as the yearbook adviser via Herff Jones.  I'm logged in to a Schoology account with my school email, but cannot create a course only join a course.  We will be switching to Schoology in the fall, and I'm trying to get a jump on utilizing this source as an instructor rather than a student user.  Please advise as to how to adjust my email account to be for an instructor not a student.  Thanks!

    Hi Jen,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

Unfortunately, there's not a way to switch your own role on an existing account. You will need to create a new account with the right role.

Here's an article with more information on this process.

    I hope this helps!

Can I delete and then use the same email to make a new account with the instructor role?

    Hi Jen,

Yes! Once you delete the account you no longer want, it will free up your email address. Then you can use the same email address to create your instructor account.

    I hope this helps!
