multiple children, one family email, have only been able to set up one student on schoology


When our school went live on Schoology last week, I followed the teachers' instructions and used the codes given to set up an account for each child. We have one family email, which I used as the username for our 2nd grader. It would not let me use that same email for our 3 other daughters, so I signed them up with a different username that was not an email address and that allowed me to get into their respective teachers' classrooms. Unfortunately, when trying to go back in the next day, it told me I had an incorrect username or password for all the kids that did not have the email as their username. How would you suggest we remedy this?

    Hi Eric, 

    While you can use one email address to create a Parent account that is associated with multiple Student accounts, Student accounts must all have unique email addresses. 

    It looks like you've used an email address to create a Student account. In this case, you can delete your account (please note that the instructor will have to remove the account from their course members list first) and create a Parent account. Then, you should use unique email addresses to create accounts for each student. After you've done so, you can use the Parent Access Codes provided by their instructors to connect your Parent account to their accounts.
