Assessment Questions

Seguir

Hello, Schoology.

I had one of my students bring up an interesting point today about the assessment features. I like to use a variety of assessment questions; they are engaging and differentiated, which are great! However, one of the options, the drag and drop feature, needs some improvement. When the students drag and drop an answer, if they don't put the answers in the exact order, the question is then marked wrong. I use this feature when more than one option is available as there isn't another feature for this. My suggestions are that this feature be fixed so that no matter the order, if they drag and drop the right answers, then they are correct. My next suggestion is that there is a feature that allows us to list the answers and the students be able to click more than one answer. My last suggestion is to create a feature for questions that have Part A and Part B options together instead of separate questions.

    Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

    1. It sounds like you might be creating separate instances of the same response instead of enabling Duplicate Responses. As it stands, questions are matched with their specific instance of a response. Assessments will not collate multiple instances of the same response. Within the Correct Answer Setup, you're able to enable Duplicate Responses which will allow students to use the same response multiple times. Please see this Help Center article for more details: Fill in the Blank: Correct Answer Setup.
    2. Currently, you can enable Multiple Answers for Multiple Choice Questions to allow students to select more than one answer. Please see this Help Center Article for more details: Multiple Choice: Correct Answer Setup. Are you looking for this feature in a different question type format?
    3. Could you please clarify what you mean with your last suggestion? Are you looking for a feature that allows multiple questions in a singular view?

To avoid confusion, I'm going to go ahead and move this post to our Instructor Q&A forum to help others who are looking for similar answers.

Please review our Best Tips and Practices for the Feature Ideas forum here and let us know if you have any further questions about any of the above!

    Best,
