linking accounts from multiple school systems


I have 2 sons with schoology accounts from 2 different school systems.  I have tried linking their accounts, but I always get the error message "unable to link accounts with this student".  Why is this happening, and how can I link their accounts?  Thanks in advance!

    Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

    There may be a school-level permission set on student accounts that prevents them from linking accounts. If you have a parent account and you would like to have it associated with your sons' accounts, you can reach out to the Support Contact at the school for assistance with this. You can reach the Support Contact by clicking Support at the bottom of Schoology and click the name under Support Contacts to view their profile and email address. If you have children in different school districts, you would need separate parent accounts for each child since the parent/child association is managed at school level.
