Schoology Courses - can't comment/like updates or open Notebook and McGraw-Hill ConnectED

My daughter just signed up to Schoology using the access code provided by the school, but it seems that some permissions are missing so she can have full access to the courses. One of her teachers has requested comments/likes on his updates, but the comment/like options are not available. Other students have commented/liked, so it seems that my daughter account is missing some permission. Is that something the teachers need to configure? Should I contact the teacher? If so, where/how should theyfix this?

    Hi Sabrina, 

    The same Course Access Code should work. However, because you are using the Enterprise version of Schoology and each Enterprise district has their own protocol for provisioning students, it's best that your daughter continues to work with the System Admin regarding this.

    Ok, found the issue. The account was accidentally created as a parent account. But we can't create a new account with a different role because the access code has already been used. Now we need to request the System Admin from the school to delete the account and then create a new one... Not sure whether the access code will work or if we need a new one... Ugh.
