There are currently only 3 view submissions options in Schoology:
I give multiple assessments per chapter that interactively teach the material and guide students to success. Because of this, many of my assessment questions have 10+ fill-in-the-blanks (usually dropdown). I allow students 5 attempts to earn at least a 90. This works well with Schoology's newly added "submission rules" because students can't move on to the next assignment until they show mastery on the previous. Below is one example of just one of my assessment questions for my AP Statistics Course.
There are 14 fill-in-the-blanks, and Schoology currently offers no way for the students to see which blanks are incorrect without displaying the correct answers.
I can't allow students to "View Submissions with Correct Answers" - Option #3 because then they don't learn from their mistakes and try again. Option 2 - "View Submissions only" does not mark which fill-in-the blanks they missed, it only gives them the total number of points they earned on the question.
I believe a 4th option needs to be added."View submissions with incorrect answers"
I want my students to know which of those 14 parts they missed instead of just giving them 11/14 points. I have students waste hours of time trying to figure out which of the fill-in-the-blanks is incorrect, and a lot of the time they change one of the correct answers. My school is accelerated, and many students work in the evenings and late at night. This issue is why many teachers at my school don't want to switch to assessments. Can we please get this 4th option added?
I've added another simpler visual to show this issue more clearly.
Here's what the 4th option would look like:
