Copy question from one assessment to another

Seguir

The assessment feature offers some great ways to format questions. I was excited to see the "copy" feature but dismayed to find that I cannot copy a question to another assessment. This makes differentiation for ELL and IEP students impossible. It's also not possible to easily modify questions for alternate versions of an assessment, or create a final exam from previously used versions of questions. This is not at all a timesaver, and as I'm creating pre and posttests for the year, it's very disappointing. I understand this feature is available in Managed Assessments, which is not practical or even useful for my very small district. What is the rationale? Can this please be changed? I now have to re-write 4 pre-post tests, as regular tests without all the great question options.

    Hi Charles,

Any movement on this? It's been 5 months. The roadmap is great, but lack of implementation is not so great. Please inform.

    Thanks!

    Hi Howard & Luann,

Thanks for reaching out! Our Product team is working hard to make Assessments the best solution for testing in Schoology. Some recent releases include Printing Assessments and Observational Grading to enter data from the classroom back into Schoology Assessments.

While support for Question Banks in Course Assessments is currently on our roadmap, we don't have a specific timeline.

In the meantime, you can make a copy of an Assessment by saving your Assessments to your Resources! When you copy the template from your Resources back into your courses you can make changes, without affecting the original template.

We appreciate your feedback on our Product Roadmap. We're currently looking at ways to improve the roadmap. We recommend that you follow each section to get updates as items move across the roadmap.

    Thanks again for your feedback!

So it has been 18 months since the last response on this issue and 2 years since the original question.  Is there any movement on moving this forward?

Is there any update on question banks, or at least being able to copy questions from one assessment to another?

What a load of waffle from schoolology.  I am a new user and was looking on how to copy assessments so I can modify them without starting over.  How disappointing to hear that there has been NO improvement over 2 years.  I much preferred google classroom and it was free.

I used to be able to copy questions from an assessment I made into a self-made question bank when you had the lime green assignments. Now that you've changed assessments into the cyan ones, I can't copy questions into a self-made question bank. I also cannot copy questions from one assessment to another? This should be a standard basic tool, as ALL educators need to do this. What gives? Now making a unit test made up of questions from daily assessments will take me 10x longer then if I was just using Word to develop hard copies (which I cannot do in virtual learning). Before you make any more improvements or changes, this should be top priority.

Nick, I believe the best way is to convert old tests into an assessment and then you can create a new assessment bank from the assessment questions. It’s not as complicated as you’d think. It’s actually pretty quick. Then you make a whole new bank. Annoying but not that much work on the back end.

I do not have the option to copy or move questions from an existing assessment to an item bank or question bank. If I open the gear on the assessment the only option I have is "Convert into AMP Question Bank" and if I select that I get an error message asking me to create a Support Request with Schoology. I just want an option where I can go into an assessment, select one or more questions, and copy them to a new assessment. Is that a really hard option to have?

Ah, it seems as if different districts have different levels of functionality. I’d email my IT guy. https://support.schoology.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051270894-Item-Banks-for-Course-Assessments?mobile_site=true
