Forced Submissions - Assignments - Test/Quiz - Assessments

Seguir

The ability for teachers to force submit would be a nice option for assignments, test/quiz, and new assessments. That way when a 'drop dead' due date hits, the teacher can submit the assignment and grade whatever is (or is not) there. That would also eliminate overdue items showing up for students that can no longer be turned in for a score.  This can sort of be done using timed Test/Quiz but not for other school work.
Teachers - to be able to grade partially completed, but unsubmitted work.

Students - Removes overdue items but can also result in getting some points for partially completed work versus no points because nothing was submitted.

Parents - Similar to students, plus parents hate seeing months old 'overdue' work.

Admins - The extra points students might gain from this can help with overall course grades and eligibility.

I would love this! Sometimes students do not submit the test/assignment but I know they started it, and time is up! I would love to be able to give them some credit instead of a 0.

This is now an option with the new assessment feature.. instead of using test/quiz.

Yes, but until the new assessments have full parity with Test/Quiz, especially printing tests for IEP students, I need to stay with Test/Quiz. Glad to know it will at least be solved when everything switches over.

Yes! I have so many students who forget to officially hit "submit" and it is SO frustrating. Locking the assignment isn't enough since that doesn't link work in progress to the rubric/gradebook.

It should be integrated into the "Lock" feature for assignments and the "Enable Until" feature for tests/quizzes.

There is a way around this if you want all students attempts to be submitted. If you add a time limit after it will submit any student that has had the test/quiz open for longer than the time limit you put but if you are wanting to just submit a single student it will not allow you to do so. IF WE HAD THE OPTION TO SUBMIT IN THE DROP DOWN! :)

I just experienced this with my Final Exam. My student was in a hurry to get to her next final and, I believe, She closed the test before her submission had uploaded to the grader. Now I can't force it to grade and I really need it to do so within the next hour. :(

I agree that a force submit feature would be really helpful.  I also have had students simple forget to submit their exam before going to the next class.

    Thank-you!
