Get notified when student submits an assignment that has been marked as missing.

Seguir
When an assignment is marked as missing in the gradebook, the assignment gets a score of zero and gets the little orange hexagon in the score cell.

This is good, but the unfortunate thing is that when that student submits an assignment, the teacher does not get notified that the assignment has been submitted and needs to be graded since the zero is technically a grade.

I'd like to have a notification setting created for assignments that were marked as missing as well as a notification setting just for past due submissions.

You can just go to gradebook, click "View" and select "Marked as Missing with submission"

Same issue over here...students wonder why I am not marking assignments that have been submitted. I have to search for these assignments manually, without a proper notification. Please fix this!

Yes please. And make it so the "missing" mark does not have to be manually removed.

Yes please! The missing mark does go away when you grade it, so you don't have to manually remove it as long as you are aware that you have to grade it.

    Make it so!

    Please!

Yes! With so many assignments in my gradebook, it is frustrating to have to scan through it (even with the square highlighted in the View menu) and I have to constantly check in the View menu to find out if a student completed the task.

Also, it can be challenging to see the highlighted cells with the new gradebook feature that follows the cursor.

This would be an awesome feature to have!  To take it one step farther, notifications are nice, but they can easily build up and notifications get missed.  Right now in the Gradebook, you can View 'Marked Missing with Submission,' but all it does is highlight the cells (which most of the time are not viewable without scrolling around).  It would be much easier if that setting worked as a filter instead so that when you selected that view, you ONLY saw the items that apply.  This would essentially create a 'To Do' list for teachers and would be much more useful!

Teachers need notifications for all submitted assignments, regardless of whether there is a 0 in the gradebook or not. Please help us make grading efficient in Schoology by working on this feature request!

This definitely needs to happen. With Google classroom I was able to set up for it to email me when a student turned in a missing assignment. I miss this feature with Schoology. Our entire district switched to Schoology since it syncs with our gradebook system Skyward which I love that! But the missing assignment notifications is hard to not have.

I completely agree with this.  It is a very needed feature.  It adds a huge workload to the teacher to have to go back and verify who has submitted.   A notification about any submission (on time or after receiving a grade of zero) is essential for the teacher and for the students to get credit.  Please consider making this improvement a must!
