    Hello All!

I have moved this post over to the Feature Ideas forum so that others can find and upvote this idea in the future.

Keep an eye on our Product Roadmap for updates on new features.

    Thank you!

    • I definitely vote for this feature.  Either being able to do this or be able to add the file in the ‘comments to student’ when I add the mark.

This is particularly useful for google drive assigned work that is graded by a rubric.  Currently if an assignment has not been submitted I can not bring up the rubric and grade the work in the same window.  If an assignment is unsubmitted then I can only access the rubric in the gradebook screen in order to enter the grade.  It makes for a lot of back and forth while grading... which is the beautiful thing about schoology and google assignments... the embedded rubric means avoiding having to click between screens!!!!

I agree with Laura, this would be a great feature in Google Drive Assignments (and elsewhere). If a teacher only sees students weekly, such as a music teacher, and students forgot to submit their work, the teacher has to grade the rubric via the gradebook, and go back and forth! It would be great if teachers could simply move students work from "in progress" to "submissions" to access the rubric.

With Covid, we are finding a need for this. We are trying to eliminate instances of students handing in physical paper to teachers. We also do not allow our students to have their cell phones with them in class. We would like for students to scan completed work (math solutions, class worksheets, etc.) as a submission to an assignment, but having them use their laptop webcam is very unreliable (having it in focus, etc.). It would be great if the teacher had his/her computer with a document scanner attached; the teacher opens the assignment; then each student comes to the teacher and the teacher scans the paper into that student's assignment as a submission.

I would like to be able to submit on students behalf as well.

YES! I want to be able to take a file that a student emailed me and submit it to a specific assignment on their behalf. Turnitin.com lets teachers submit assignments for students easily -- Schoology should, too!

This would be so helpful!  Especially now with remote learning.  Any word on the status of this idea?

I originally asked four years ago, so I’m not too hopeful…

This suggestion was uploaded 4 years ago and nothing....Schoology needs to start listening to teachers. There are so many features on Schoology that are not user friendly or don't exist. I wish my school used google classroom instead.

Yes, this is still a feature that is needed!

Having the ability for teachers to be able to submit assignments would be extremely helpful! Especially for our ELL and SPED students.

I would specifically like a teacher submit option for Google Drive Assignments. I have students who have completed the work, but not submitted the assignment. It makes grading a challenge.

Yes, please.  Make it possible to "force submit" an assignment on behalf of the student.  For example, I can see that a student as completed the attached google drive assignment but hasn't submitted it.  It's time consuming to contact the student to get them to submit it.

I agree with all that has been said. We switched to Schoology because of our district, but not as user friendly as Classrooms.

I have several students who forget to submit assignments when they are finished, and I have no way to enter the grade.

I try to tell the students they still have not submitted the assignment - because they finished it and do not realize there is another extra step to submit.

Everything in Schoology takes twice as long and has 3 times the extra steps to load, assign or add to the class.

This would be incredibly helpful, especially for my EL students and my SPED students. I am continually getting work through email because Schoology is so difficult to upload to for students from their iPad.

I would like to see this feature as well. Some of my students, particularly sixth graders, find the uploading process confusing, and I want to be able to upload for them, as opposed to forcing them to go through a frustrating submission process, if they just cannot figure out the submission process.
