Gradebook - Hide a semester or have a default view setting for the second semester.

Seguir

For the second semester of a year-long course, it would be nice to limit the number of columns showing to be just the second semester either by hiding the first semester completely or allowing a default view setting to show just the second semester without having to select this view every time you go to the gradebook during the second semester.

Agreed! This would be very helpful for year-long courses. Parents and students often get confused about grades during the second semester because of the "Overall" column which averages the semesters, too.

P.S. Schoology Team, you are awesome... the grade book is so close to perfect. :)

I agree I just had 2 of our faculty ask for this same feature

I also want to be able to hide first semester grades entirely from the students.

I am also interested in setting Semester 2 view to be the default in the gradebook. It always goes back to semester 1 in the semester dropdown.

This is a "MUST HAVE" for our teachers.

I HAVE to be able to start a clean new semester grade book for my classes, how do I do so?

Yes, please!  My teachers complain about this regularly!  For our yearlong courses, just look at how many grading periods we have set up to map to how our SIS is set up!  For every section, it's two clicks we'd love to eliminate by setting a default or having them "roll over" once the date is past.
