Grading - the draw tool

Seguir

One of the greatest features of Schoology would be the ability to write on students' turned in assignments and have those comments appear so that students can read them. The problem is that the draw tool resets as soon as you pick up your stylus, making it nearly impossible to make clear comments.

I agree this is an awesome feature, but not as powerful if you are trying to write comments clearly! I vote up!

Agreed. You should be able to write a ? in one step and not four... draw, write, draw, write

My students can not see the annotations when they open the file. I made the annotations using a computer (can not figure out how in the app). The students are viewing on iPads. Any thoughts?

Could not agree more. All it needs to do is let the draw tool stay on permanently

I agree! the tool is very useful, but it is really flawed. They should use the old 1984 "PaintBrush" draw technology technology.

In the iPad/iPhone version of the app, it is possible to write on the screen. This "reset" function does not occur. I only have an iPhone, however, and it is inconvenient to write on such a small screen.

I use a Wacom Intuos tablet which allows me to use a pen as a replacement for the mouse on my labtop. I am finding the same problem, however. Even with my pen and tablet, I need to re-select the "draw" function for each letter. If schoology could add a "lock toggle" for the draw function it would become a much more practical tool.

Our teachers have been experiencing this same issue. The drawing tool reset really slows down the annotation process. So much so that it's easier just to download the PDF and use adobe writer and re-upload the file. Once a tool is selected, it should stay selected till another tool is chosen.

I agree! Please add an option on the web platform to keep the draw tool selected until deselected.

    Cheers!

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only person with this issue.  At first, I thought it was my Surface Pro 3 tablet, but it's same with other teachers with a different tablet, like Lenovo.  Has Schoology made any statement about fixing this bug?  Do they read this blog?  Reading through this string, I can see that this has been an issue for almost 2 years now.

I would love to have a permanent draw button. I have a Surface Book and a macbook. Draw function goes away once I lift the pen or make one mark.
