Rubric Additions

1. Would love to see an 'extra credit' check box when creating a new category (where the points wouldn't count against the total but anything earned would add value.)
2. Would love to have the option to deduct points when grading a rubric if assignment was turned in late.
3. Would love to save a partially-graded rubric score without posting to student (in case anything needs to be tweaked after all assignments are graded, or more than one person are working on the grading.)

  I think these are fantastic ideas. It differentiates for the individual student...and these days, that is what it is all about!

  Please consider these ideas. The extra credit option would really help in grading. Right now, I have to manually work through an override system or remove this option. The "Late" option would also help - it will help with grading, but also will help the students manage their workload and deadlines more effectively. Thank you for considering~~

  Would also love to be able to copy parts or all of a rubric to make a new one from parts of an old one and copy one rubric at a time to another class (without all of them copying).

  I like all of these ideas, but especially #3 - I often need to tweak scores after consulting with other teachers at my level.

  Just an FYI to Matthew on item #2, deducting points on a rubric. You can do that now, just build the rubric and put in a row for penalty and then just fill the rubric with MINUS points. I have a row at the bottom of my rubrics for late assignments and deduct 5 ro 10 points. The total score for the rubric is then reduced by the penalty if selected.

  If you add a "timeliness" criteria to the rubric and enter negative numbers, you can deduct.
  Ex:
  0 - = on time, no deductions
  -5 = late

  I would love to see all of these: (EC, neg late points, hiding partially graded rubric scores, copy all or part of a rubric to make a new rubric, and copy one rubric at a time) All would be tremendously helpful.
  My workaround for late work has been to add a line for "on time/late" that has values beginning at 0, -1, -2, -3, etc. These detract from the overall score.

  Same for extra credit, add a new row, Label it Extra Credit, but only make it worth 0 pts. Then go in an give 1-100 extra points.

  I would also love the Extra Credit Option.
