Workload Planning, Add "1 or more items" option...

Seguir

Currently the wold load planning only allows us to see if our students "2 or more items" scheduled on any given day.

In our Middle School we're trying to plan more holistically and ideally we wouldn't' have two unit tests in difference subject areas on the same day unless absolutely necessary.

Without a "1 or more items" option in workload planning we can't effectively use workload planning at our school to avoid these types of situations.

This would be great. I would also add that I"d like to be able to see the type of assessment in the workload planning. We'd be able to see if two tests are scheduled versus two homework assignments.

I think that this is absolutely vital. As a school (parents, students and teachers) we have recognized the non-negotiable need for all homework to be posted on Schoology. However, without the ability to identify 1 or more assignments in the Workload Planning facility it is not possible to get an accurate view of what the students in your class or homeroom etc are expected to do. This information is important in understanding the workload that students have and ensuring that there is a responsible and sensible approach to home learning.

I have already requested this functionality be added and it was again recently raised by grade team leaders in my school.

I fully support this suggested feature request.

    Cheers

This would be an easy, yet very useful feature.

What could be the reasson to only show from 2 or more items and not showing from 1? Specially when you are planning.

I see this was posted in 2013 and wondering if there has been any movement on this in these many years? It seems that there are several posts about this feature embedded in different support threads and not all linked together. But having this issue sitting out there for 2 years concerns me. Does anyone have feedback on Schoology's response to requests like this? Is it normal for an issue like this to sit out here for years without a decision or a choice by them to "not act" and nothing being communicated to the schools or those requesting? Would love to know more about how Schoology responds to requests like these that have been an issue for schools a number of years? Or a better understanding of the responsiveness overall would be great!

    Thank you, Jamie Sullivan

Agree.  This would also be beneficial to support teachers or intervention specialists as it allows them to view their entire caseload's workload quickly, from a single screen.

I agree.  It would allow this feature to be used in a much more powerful way.

I asked for this exact same feature some time back. I agree entirely and simply cannot understand the rational for not allowing teachers, homeroom teachers, counsellors to be able to understand exactly what the workload of their students is. To my mind, a small addition that would make a world of difference to teachers.

We would like this feature, I've had many teachers ask about this as sometimes the one big "test" is on that day and they have no idea.

I can only continue to agree. I pursued this at the Miami NEXT gathering and raised it just last week with our account manager. I can't see that this could be so difficult to do and frankly I don't even consider it a feature request but rather remedying faulty design.
