A club advisor approached me about using badges for clubs or teams, which we use a Group for at our school. But since Badges are only awarded via the grade book, they cannot be given to members of a group. We think it would be great to be able to award badges to members in a club or group!

I have also heard this requested at our school. We would also like badges available to students in a group. It seems like badges are tied to the gradebook feature of a course. Could a sort of simplified gradebook, almost more of a checklist, be added to groups? It might be helpful for assigning badges, task management (complete/not complete), or even to take attendance at club/group meetings. I wouldn't need to assign a grade per se, just check things as 'yes' or 'no'.
I would like to use Badges in Groups, too. Seems like two years later maybe it could happen? Please, Schoology!
This would be a great feature. I'm a student council moderator and we use groups for councils. I would love to see badges in groups.

This has also been requested as we have many school groups and PD groups that would like to award contributors to the content.
I would love to see badges in groups! My teachers on my Tech Group page should receive badges for helping each other.
I would love to be able to reward teachers badges after a professional development session through groups in Schoology!
A real no brainer. Especially as we move towards the concept of micro-credentialing teachers and staff.
Completely agree that this is a desired feature! I'd love to be able to award badges to my teachers during PD that takes place in our Group(s)!
I am the school librarian and because I don't have "classes" in Schoology, I cannot give out badges. I would love to award kids badges for learning their library skills.
I am also the librarian, so no classes are assigned to me, but I have put the whole student body into a group and would LOVE to award badges to our students as they participate in reading events. I use a different theme each year and badges could go along with the theme. Students would love to collect them year to year. This year's theme is emoji's!
Okay Schoology, it has been almost 3 years since I posted this idea (3 YEARS!), and clearly there is support for it from many different areas. How about a little love here and some information if it is at least it being under consideration, under development, or just a 'no.' :)

This is ridiculous that Schoology didn't enable this. This is an obvious no-brainer and seemingly fixed with a click of a button. Please enable this for teachers, coaches, and sponsors of clubs and activities.
I currently teach classes that do not receive a grade but are RtI and "Extra Help" courses. It would be a fantastic incentive to give badges to these students also. Please consider this option in "Groups". The students that are in other classes that DO receive the badges automatically assumed that badges were available to be earned... and this was not the case.
