Hello All,
We are happy to let you know that the ability to print tests/quizzes in Schoology has been implemented for Enterprise Schoology!
Thank you all for your comments, upvotes and support. All of your efforts helped to make this feature request a reality!
For more information on printing tests/quizzes, please review this Help Article: https://support.schoology.com/hc/en-us/articles/207843597-How-to-Print-Tests-Enterprise-Only
Thank you!
Most requested feature from our teachers!
I agree. We are limited on the amount of copies that we can make in a semester due to the copier company charging for copies over a certain amount. Currently, if you try to print out a schoology test of about 30 questions, you're going to get at LEAST a 10 page test. There needs to be a printer-friendly version where there can be more than a few questions on each page!
To edit tests now, I have to paste them in a notepad and do MAJOR editing just so I don't spend 10 pages per test on the kids who don't want to use the computer or have an IEP which allows for printed tests.
I agree as well. I have a student that has a difficult time looking at the screen for too long. I was going to print her out a copy of the test but realized that there was no way to do this. I would love for this feature to be added to Schoology. Thanks.
Test printing is a feature that needs to be added. This is the only venue for students without online access at home if you are using Schoology tests as assignments.
Is there any movement on this request... I have been wishing and hoping for this for the last year... It can't be that hard to enable the ability to print a test... just allow us the ability to export a test as a pdf or rtf file anything....
A printer friendly version would be very helpful.
Yes Please! It's add this isn't a feature. A shame really, since it would be useful for documentation.
This would be very useful
Ditto!
This feature is a must. I hope it happens soon.
This would be great for accessibility concerns.
Would be very helpful!
Is anyone at Schoology following this thread? This has to absolutely be a feature included in the next round of updates/upgrades, etc. We have to be able to print/access material when technological glitches or other concerns make direct access to Schoology impossible or inconvenient.
In Chrome you can print the Preview of the Quiz and it produces a decent paper copy... we are using that for paper option.
This would be very helpful.
I agree, when students don't have access to Internet, I want to make the paper version of assessments available to them.
Yes please! I have a student who is not allowed on any computer anymore and I need to print everything just for her.
PLEASE!!!!! The special education department is finding it frustrating that students can't use test taking strategies and so we need an option to print for them.
I know that there is an option to print from Chrome, but it is not "printer-friendly" as it uses way too much ink and paper. A "printer friendly" version would be EXTREMELY helpful.
My school has invested money in Schoology and has adopted it system-wide. We are attempting to be responsible citizens of the world, which includes reducing waste. Having to print out 5+ pages (because there are only 4 questions per page) for a test is wasteful and counterproductive.
For all of the reasons already mentioned, tt's also the #1 thing that we need from Schoology and it seems like such a simple fix.
Need this so teachers don't have to print from "preview" mode- it puts page breaks in odd places!
Being able to export this to a plain text or Microsoft Word document would be fantastic! The current print "option" does cause odd breaks and takes up WAY too much paper! The tests I used to do on paper (and still have to, sometimes) can usually fit 9 questions per page, and in many schools, paper is a rare resource!
Agreed, it would be a great feature to have a back up/export function to PDF or preferably Word so that the quizzes can be archived and edited. :D
Yet another teachers asking for this feature, please help Schoology.
A print option is needed. Also a checkbox for the option to print an answer key (correct answers highlighted in some way). This would also help teachers review tests that they copy from public resources or shared exams. Basically to see the correct answer to a 100 question test before students view it, is to click "edit" one by one for each question.
I use gradable or gradecam. How about some sort of integration with them?
If tests get printed, then students might get a copy and pass it on to other classmates. it means that every year, you'll have to redo all your tests. I would be very very careful with that option to print.
@Annie Dumontier
Yes, they could, but it is up to the teacher to establish procedures to keep that from happening.
Schoology should make an option to print, and the teachers can determine the best way to utilize it.
I viewed my test in Preview Mode......then selected it all - copied/pasted into Word.....with a little adjustment to margins and columns....it came out pretty good......and even the selection boxes/circles show up so that a student could actually take a hard copy test in Word........I just printed it out for hard copies of both test and answer key
