It would be great if student completion option still allowed for due dates because when you're still working in a traditional school model often times due dates are still a necessity.

Yes! I want to release answer keys for corrections after an assignment has been completed, but I also want to assign a "must be completed by" date with the assignment. Has there been any thought put into this?
I agree with this!
One of the reasons I also want this feature, is that by including a 'due date', the assignment shows up in the student's calendar, and as something they need to do - it's a great visual reminder!
YES! I'm with you! I just had to take the completion rules off an assignment because it didn't allow it to show up in their "Upcoming" assignments folder.
I'd like to see this as an option where I can check off it it's done (if it's not something that they hand in electronically) and if I don't, it STAYS on a to-do list for them. When kids miss an assignment, it drops off their "upcoming" folder.
I agree- the current setup only makes sense in self-paced settings. Student completion rules definitely need to come with due dates.
We need due dates to be able to progress in a timely matter and make it possible to set time parameters
Love the completion rules, but need the due date so it does up on the calendar. Is this possible?
I asked someone at Schoology this question and she said that if I gave the work due dates before I added the completion rules, then it should be ok. I haven't tried it yet to see if it works, but she double checked before getting that info back to me, so I'm hopeful!
Just tried setting Due date then student completion. The top of student completion window says due dates will be removed. Does not work this way.
I'll pass that along, so good to know!
we must have due dates within completion folders
Is it possible to have a folder with a due date and the assignments within the folder have the completion rules?
I want students to be able to work at their own pace to some degree, but in sequence and with milestones - you must be finished with assignment #12 by August 15.
This is getting to be very frustrating. I would love to have student completion rules set up, but if I do that, than nothing shows up in the "upcoming" bar on the right side of the home page. This confuses students. Due dates and student completion compatibility is a must!
Yes! This would be awesome!
Might be helpful for some - I seem to be able to set due dates after having set completion rules by using the "bulk edit" feature under options when in a folder. It does then list the due date with the assignment, lists them under the "Upcoming" sidebar, and on the calendar.
You can get around this by using the bulk edit feature.
Please work on adding this feature. It would be wonderful!
Yes WE NEED THIS!!!!!
We really need this for our school!
Please add this feature as soon as possible. We really need it!
Please create this option!
Our school needs this desperately! This will help our students pace!
Si, por favor!

Parents we speak to would like to see some due dates to make sure their students are progressing like they should be.
AGREED
How do I vote "yes" on this?
You were able to do this through the bulk edit feature in the gradebook up until an 'upgrade' last spring. I wish that I could still add the due dates for students. This makes the completion rules a truly powerful tool for students to work at their own pace but still meet deadlines - just like the 'real' world.
I would also love to see the ability to individually assign folders with student completion rules to groups or individual students (similar to what we can do with assignments, tests/quizzes, discussions using grading groups).
Yes, please add this! It's nice for student to work at their own pace, but deadlines help to keep them on track.
If you set the student progress settings FIRST, you can then go into the gradebook, select "bulk edit," and then add due dates. If you try to add student progress settings AFTER you create due dates, then the due dates will be erased.
