It would be great if teachers had the option to add repeated events to a course calendar. For example, if a teacher has an event every week consistently throughout the year, it would be nice for them to only enter it once and have it repeat through the calendar.
Please Please Please consider adding a Recurrring event button/function to the calendar.
This is a must! I am going to have to manually enter 85 rehearsal dates when the same thing could be accomplished with three repeating events. What a waste of time!! Just starting out with Schoology and I am already feeling frustrated.
As a district new to Schoology, the idea of entering reoccurring events/assignments came up at all our staff meetings and trainings. It would make is so much more usable for weekly assignments, team and staff meeting, etc. Please add this feature!
This should be an easy fix. Consistent expectations are necessary for student achievement. If there is to be a recurring event/assignment there should be a way to simply create that. Most calendars have an option to make an event recurring. Schoology needs one.
Hi everyone on this chain who would like recurring events on Schoology. I'm getting the feeling that this forum is NOT the correct place to request modifications to Schoology. I believe this forum is intended to allow experienced Schoology users to help novice Schoology users. If Schoology does not have a function that a lot of users want, like recurring events, then they need to hear about it directly. I don't think anybody at Schoology is reading these comments.
We have groups... and the groups meet. It would be nice to schedule the meeting time to repeat weekly instead of making a new event for every week

Seconded. I currently need to add the same events every single week. I need to utilize my time. This can be solved by this!
Still hoping (3 years later) that this functionality will be added. There are so many calendar apps out there that do this. But the advantage to Schoology's calendar WOULD BE that things are all in one place IF Schoology would upgrade their calendar's functionality to include copying events, recurring events, and better importing from other calendars.
Apparently, Schoology isn't listening. That is really a shame. It seems a company selling to educators would, at least, listen to all the requests to make their software better.
So I emailed Schoology support about this very same issue and they sent me the link for this thread and I see people (their customers!) have been asking for this feature for 4 years! This page has not had any activity for almost a year! Why on earth would support send me to this page?
We've had numerous requests about duplicating calendar events from our faculty and staff. This would make the process much less redundant.
Here's my annual renewal of my request for this feature. The calendar view is very popular with students. How much MORE helpful it would be if teachers were easily able to add reminders for various weekly or monthly events by copying them! There are lots of recurring events in school - weekly journal/notebook checks, play rehearsals, athletic practices, just to name a very few. PLEASE beef up the functionality of your calendar, Schoology!

This has been a recurring request forever. When will Schoology address this issue?
Please add this feature! We use Schoology for sports & clubs which have consistent meeting times and it is inefficient to individually add 40 events! Because it's so time-consuming, my teachers don't want to use the calendar and instead upload a PDF calendar to their courses and groups. It's hard to convince my staff to use the features Schoology has to offer when it takes so much more time than it should. Please work on this feature!
