Keep the "Draw" feature enabled on the annotation tool bar

Seguir

When you use the Draw feature when looking at a document submission, can Schoology find a way to keep the tool "on" even after you have stopped clicking on it?

I agree.  Can you change the Draw feature so that there is a way to keep the draw

button selected? I am grading assignments using a Windows Laptop/Tablet,

and I would like to hand write comments. As it is now, I have to click the

button every time I write a new letter, dot an i or cross a t. Please fix

    this!

It seems silly that this feature does not work on a tablet when this is where it is most useful to write. Using a mouse to write on a laptop is not possible.

YES!!!! The draw feature is absolutely pointless without this added addition.  It might as well not even be there.  I've already lost all my teachers collecting and grading assignments via Schoology as a result of this.

Yes! I agree with Katie Ritter. It is so frustrating to use now, that I require students to turn in assignments in another program. I cannot grade in Schoology. It is awful for teachers!!!

This feature is sooo close to amazing, and is the reason I signed up for schoology. Wthout keeping draw enabled, it's essentially a worthless feature. It is incredibly frustrating to actually use the "draw" feature.

YES! This is a huge issue for the grading interface. I want to be able to set a default "pen" color and have my last tool (draw, comment, etc.) stay on UNTIL I SWITCH.

I would love if Schoology would add that feature. Using the comment box is useful in many cases, but sometimes it's a better visual to the student to see it "written" on the page.

As an online only school, this feature is especially important to us. I am flabbergasted that it isn't available. Even a keyboard shortcut to turn on the draw tool over and over would be a nice intermediary solution. Please, please add this feature as soon as humanely possible! My teachers may revolt otherwise!

Yes! This is standard formatting for many other programs. It is very frustrating to use if you have to keep re-clicking on the draw button!

Ridiculous that it hasn't been fixed. This would be such a simple issue to solve.

The problem is fixed if you use the Apple iPad or iPhone app to grade. The drawing function is especially convenient if you are using a stylus like Jot Dot. Another benefit of using the app to grade is that you can very easily use the voice to text feature to make comments. In seconds, it is possible to leave a comment that would take much longer to handwrite or even type.

I only have an iPhone, however, and it is inconvenient to write comments on such a small screen. On my laptop, I have a Wacom Intuit which replaces my mouse with a pen. This allows me to write on the screen, but I am having the same problem. The draw function in the browser-version of Schoology will not lock the draw function. It seems like this would be a simple fix and a huge benefit.

For the most part, I really like Schoology and find it to be very intuitive to use.

I find, however that grading is a more cumbersome process than it needs to be in Schoology. I would like to suggest that you consider streamlining this process further. Is there a way to keep an annotation tool active until the user changes to a different tool. This would be particularly helpful with the pencil function. I cannot hand write a comment on a paper because every time I pick up my pen the function switches back to the hand. I also find that adding comments is a three step process that could be two steps if I didn't need to click in the comment box to start typing after I have placed the comment on the page.

Please keep the draw tool in the web platform selected until deselected.

I opened a ticket on this issue.  The response I received was that they were sorry for the frustration and was aware of the issue.  Than they closed my service ticket.  So, seeing that this has been an issue for 2-3 years, I'm guessing that Schoology has no plans in fixing this anytime soon.

    Please, please, please fix this!

Keep the draw tool enabled! It is not even possible to easily draw a plus sign with this tool as it currently functions.

Keeping the drawing tool active will make a huge difference to our teachers in their daily grading.  They all have touch screens and use inking.

It would be a great improvement to your product if you could make this one simple change.

    Thank you for listening!
