    Hi all,

Thank you for your feedback and for your interest in this feature!

Although it's not this exact functionality, as a workaround, you can now open the submission in a new tab.

    I hope this is helpful!

Yes!  Our teachers need to have a way to view the document without all the wasted space.  You could also have pop out window to see the document in full screen.

It would also be nice to have the ability to scroll through the students without having to scroll away from the document.

As Instructional Technology Coach for my district, I hear a number of complaints about these very things.  PLEASE update this feature.  Two separate frames for students and then the document so they move independently of each other is essential.  Also, why does clicking on the grade open yet another window?

Please add the ability to toggle full screen in Google Drive Assignments - it's a feature you already have in your Schoology Gradebook:

Right now in Google Drive Assignments, as soon as you try to add a Comment to a student's GoogleDoc, the window pushes over so that you can read your comment, but then you can no longer see all of your student's document. It turns in to a lot of wasted time scrolling left and right to go between comments and student work. Being able to toggle to full screen to hide the list of student names would solve this problem.

Yes please!!! It's impossible for these ageing eyes to peer at student work through the minimal space dedicated to viewing their documents.

Yimei Shao,  Your work around is not what I am looking for.  I don't want leave Schoology. I just want to increase the working space and not to have to click back to enter the student's grade.  Please keep this ticket open so others can continue to vote this feature request up.  Thank you.

    Agreed, Carrie.

Yimei Shao, this feature is not the point. I want to reduce the number of repetitive clicks needed and decrease my grading time by taking advantage of the usable space on my screen. Thank you!

    Hi Carrie and Elizabeth,

    Thank you for the clarification!

I understand that the workaround does not fully accomplish the feature idea. However, others have suggested (such as above) that a pop-out window would be helpful as well for this scenario.

Please rest assured that your feedback is being heard.

This would help me enormously. At the moment, I open each student's work out into GoogleDrive and then have to go back into Schoology. It makes it cumbersome. I also worry students won't fully see or appreciate feedback. I know my students prefer opening out to GoogleDrive as well.

    Hello,

I agree that more space for google docs. would be helpful without having to click an "Open" additional screen.  Could it be more automatic?  We live off google docs here.  Thank you!

Also, could we please turn off notifications teachers receive when a student edits a document a teacher has created?  I am flooded with these notifications everyday.  Oddly, the reverse is not true.  Students are not receiving a notification when I add a comment to their documents.

    Thanks,

    Mike

As to Mike's second point about too many student notifications and NO notifications TO my students from me on their documents - this is a shared concern!!

My inbox, too, is flooded with notifications from students when they make any changes at all on their documents - yet when I leave a comment/ feedback for them to make note of, they are not receiving any notifications at all.

That's counterintuitive! They need to know about the feedback I am leaving for them so that they can make any adjustments prior to submitting their writing!  Makes no sense to me at all...hopefully just an oversight on my part, some button I didn't select or something...

    thanks,

    Penny
