Upgraded Grading Features for Schoology Submissions

Seguir

When a student submits a writing assignment, it would be really nice to be able to attach a note to whatever it is you highlighted.   Since notations are now included on the right hand side, it would be be so helpful to attach a note to that notation rather than having two separate steps.

For instance, if a student needs to capitalize a letter, I could highlight the letter and then attached to that would be a notation saying, "Please capitalize."

Another feature that would be nice is with the draw feature.  There are times where I try to circle something and it's so distorted I end up deleting it.  It would be awesome if it would automatically correct it into a circle.

I agree! I love the changes you have made to grading features, but would really like to attach a note to what I highlight or circle with the draw feature.

Another feature that would be wonderful is the opportunity to create custom comments that we could save and then drag & drop onto a submitted document. Turnitin has this, but it would be another great feature to have with Schoology grading.

I would very much like to add notes to highlighted areas as well. If one right clicks a highlighted area there is an option to "Add Note," but when I select that, nothing happens. Explanation?

So I hear you can do this using Schoology on the iPad but when I tried it with a test student and a document from Google Drive, the doc won't even show on the iPad (though it shows on a computer). Frustrating! I agree...this would be great.

This would be a good addition to the grading options.

Since none of the LMS's I've used have a comment bank to pull from, I found a nice little workaround online: I have a doc or spreadsheet with all of my common comments in it and I do a split screen with my grading viewer and that doc. I make the comment doc about an 1" wide to the right so I don't lose all of my real estate! It's not the best option, but it works for now!
