Re-submitted Assignments Link

Seguir

From the users "home" page of Schoology it shows a link to re-submitted assignments. I would like to see this link bring up the assignments that need to be graded instead of just opening another "dialog" that tells them what needs to be graded.

    Hello All,

Since this is a Feature Idea post, this is an idea that you would like to see added to Schoology. This is not currently considered a problem since there currently is workflow in Schoology that prompts the teacher about re-submissions. Please upvote this idea if you would like to see this addition to the current workflow.

Currently, when you click the re-submitted link from the Reminders area of the Home page, you will be taken to the assignment. Within the submissions, you'll see an icon that looks like a single piece of paper. This document icon indicates that this student has re-submitted the assignment

Again, if you'd like to support the idea of the workflow detailed in Frank P's post, please upvote it and leave a comment.

    Thank you!

Yes! I agree!!!!! It is impossible to look up which student re-submitted the assignment. A little more thought into this feature would greatly be appreciated.

I would also like to agree.  How can you tell which assignments have been updated?  I can't get rid of the message either. I changed every grade in the class so the message would go away.  It sits there like a to do item and stresses me out!

Please fix this or disable it.

Same as all of the above. I cannot determine what assignment has been re-submitted and cannot remove the message.

Has this issue been addressed?  I have the same problem.

When linking to google drive, the feature has actually gotten worse.  There is no paper indicator so we have no way of knowing which student resubmitted.  A fix for this would be great.

Katie's point is still an issue - even when clicking every student's submission within a particular assignment (using the Google Drive linked feature), there is no way to a) ID which student resubmitted and b) clear the re-submissions from the "to-do" list.

Still dealing with this issue. I have 16 assignments across six courses that have been re-submitted and I have literally no way of knowing which students re-submitted without looking at each student's individual revisions.

If you know approximately when the assignments were re-submitted it may make it easier by scanning your "Notifications". Everything is listed by date.

This seems an awful lot like victim blaming...I have 246 students with as many as 60 in a single course and all our work is online. I get hundreds of submissions a day from every assignment that’s been given all quarter. Your current system sets me on a search for a needle in a haystack. Maybe you could write a line of code that shows which students specifically have re-submitted.

Now that we are doing school from home I have over 300 students and I agree with everyone above. We are linking to google drive as Kathleen mentioned above. How am I supposed to know which assignment was a resubmission?

If the software knows that a re-submission even exists, it should be able to tell us where it is at.

This is just too difficult to figure out every single time a student resubmits and assignment.

C'mon Schoology. Let's do what we can to make things more efficient for educators.  Please don't wait for this to slowly trickle into a necessity. It already is a necessity.

It is impossible to look up which student re-submitted the assignment. A lot more efficiency is absolutely necessary. Please.

    Thank you.

Most of our assignments are linked through OneDrive. It would appear that these assignments are not showing what was resubmitted. When I click on "resubmitted assignments" from the main page and then click on the name of the assignment, it takes me back to the assignment itself and when I click on "submissions" it shows all of the submissions with no indication of what was resubmitted. We should be able to filter out "resubmitted" assignments. I certainly am not going to remember what a student had before and therefore what they might have changed. I agree with others above. A lot more efficiency is needed here. Thank you!

Yes. same issue as above. I have "resubmitted" notifications but there are no indicators for which assignment is it. It needs to be fixed. The little paper icon is not there and the home page of the assignment does NOTHING to guide me to the resubmission. HELP

Yes! I have spent my "free time" trying to get the 5 resubmitted assignments to go away.

Every submission in the assignments is graded, either in the Google Drive section or in the gradebook. I've unpublished the assignments. I've locked the assignments. I can't delete them without messing up their grades. And they still won't go away. The assignments have been over and done with for almost 3 weeks--they're from last quarter, I've moved on and would like to get a blank slate of "reminders."

Please fix this!!! Seems like it should be an easy fix since it is giving the notification that there is a resubmitted assignment- why can't it point directly at what student's assignment it is? One clue I found is that when using googledrive assignments, the resubmitted assignments get  stuck "In Progress" instead of being moved to "Submitted". It helps with having to hunt for assignments, but then I have to go into gradebook to enter the grade- can't grade the assignment on that screen. Such a hassle!

Why has this not been fixed yet? This is a nightmare for teachers to hunt and peck to find out which ones have been resubmitted.

Same issue as above. I want to be able to click on the notification and be brought to the specific resubmission, not just the assignment page.  Many of my assignments are linked to GoogleDrive and I can't tell which student resubmitted work without looking through all of the assignments that have been submitted, and even then I am sometimes unsure.

I very much agree that this is a problem. From my homepage on what of my courses it tells me that there are some resubmitted assignments. They are Google doc assignments. When I look through the assignments all of them are scored. It does not indicate who has resubmitted the assignment. When students attach to an assignment through the submission link as indicated by the official comment above in the screenshot it does identify who has resubmitted. However if you create a Google doc assignment, it will not tell you who has resubmitted the assignment. This is really a big problem. Please make it evident who has resubmitted these Google doc assignments. I cannot score it this way.

I agree with the above comments especially Todd Wachendorf's explanations. This is my issue as well. It is the end of the semester and I would like to regrade assignments that have been resubmitted. I do not have a way to tell which students resubmitted their assignments. This is very difficult. Please include an icon on the Google Doc assignments when students resubmit or directly link to the student'ss resubmission.

This needs to be fixed. Teachers do not have time to go on a wild goose chase to find which assignments have been resubmitted. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP. Teachers have been asking for this. Please help us do our job more efficiently.
