Adding Announcements to Groups

It would be very helpful to be able to post Announcements to Groups (similar to adding an Announcement to a Course). As an example for our school, we have a Library Resources Group that our entire school is a member of. The librarian would like to post information that would not get lost in everyone's Recent Activity feed such as the library hours.

    I agree - since the landing page for Groups is the Updates page it would be very helpful to post an Announcement for a school group.

    This feature would be really useful. 

    It's nice to be able to pin a very important post to the top of your Group / Updates page - so that it keeps prominence for a longer period of time.

    This feature is working really well for our courses, and we would love to see it in Groups.  I have a set of links that I would like to stick to the top of our Student Body group so they have quicker access to commonly used resources.
