How to Reset Parent Access Codes

If you accidentally provide a student’s Parent Access Code to the wrong parent, or if there has been some other mishap in the distribution of the Parent Access Codes, it is important that you reset Parent Access Code to prevent unauthorized access to student information. You can reset an individual student’s Parent Access Code, or you can reset all of the Parent Access Codes at once.

If a parent has already linked him or herself to the wrong child, you will first need to remove the association.

To remove the parent/child association for a specific student:

  1. Click Manage Users on the left side of the Home Page
  2. Click the Parent/Advisors tab along the top
  3. Search the student's name
  4. Click the 'x' to the right of the parent's name

To remove all parent/child associations:

  1. Click Manage Users on the left side of the Home Page
  2. Click the Parent/Advisors tab along the top
  3. Select all users by checking the box in the top row, next to First Name
  4. Haga clic en Seleccionar acción masiva
  5. Select Clear Parents

 

Once you have removed parent associations, you can reset the Parent Access Code(s), and redistribute the new codes.

To reset a specific student’s Parent Access Code::

  1. Click Manage Users on the left side of the Home Page
  2. Click the Parents/Advisors tab along the top
  3. Check the box to the left of the student’s name
  4. Click the Select Bulk Action dropdown menu at the top of the page
  5. Select Reset Selected under Parent Access Codes

 

 

To reset all students’ Parent Access Codes

  1. Click Manage Users on the left side of the Home Page
  2. Click the Parents/Advisors tab along the top
  3. Haga clic en Opciones
  4. Select Reset All

  5. Click Reset
