This is our first quarter with Schoology. After receiving reports of parents not receiving notifications when a teacher posts an update, I did find the tech support that shows parents can choose a daily or the weekly digest email.
Is this the only way for parents to get email notifications from their child's class?
This is strange because, we have a parent information GROUP with other 200 members, and parents get that notification immediately. Am I accurate about this?

Since parents are not members of courses, they will not receive notifications when teachers posts updates. Parents are able to see group updates and notifications because they are members of certain groups.
The parent email digest is currently the only way where parents can receive a daily /weekly summary, depending on the settings they choose, of their child's course work.
