My student's Overdue Area does not show up on the main screen

Follow

My student has not completed the assignment. My teacher has not locked the assignment nor pressed "completed" in the course. But outside of the main student screen I don't show "Overdue". The main screen shows only "Upcoming" item. Looking forward to your support!

    Hi Thuan,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance in the Schoology Community.

Please make sure that you have assignments that are past due and have not been submitted yet. Also, it's important to note that these notifications will only appear if a student can still submit his or her work after it's due. If you have disabled submissions, locked the assignment or discussion prior to its due date, or made a test/quiz unavailable, then no overdue notifications will occur.

Additionally, if a course is associated to a year-long grading period that contains sub-periods ("1st Semester" and "2nd Semester," for example) and the student does not make a submission to an assignment posted in the first semester, the student will continue to see this item in the Overdue pane going into the second semester.

I recommend reviewing the following articles

Please let me know if this helps or in case of further questions.

    Best,
