Feature Ideas

Great in theory

Yeah well... Schoology as a whole is great in theory, but really shoddy execution as a product.

Don't worry, though.  No one at schoology will listen, and they aren't interested in competing with Canvas.  They have fat contracts with all sorts of enormous school districts.  Good thing for them that the big tech companies don't play in this niche.  They'd cease to exist in no time.

My fantasy football app is far superior at information management than schoology.  And by all means, Schoology, if you're reading this and want to improve your lousy product, please contact me.  I've tried to contact you and power school only to be told, "We don't have customer service".  COOL!  Good to know.

Schoology cannot bulk edit locked/unlocked assignments
It cannot resort by academic grade.  That's absurd.  "Give me all the kids who have an F, or 50%".  Nope.
That's just off the top of my head.  The assignment category fields are a total mess.  Assignments are not copied correctly without error from one course to another.  anyway.... don't get me started.

    Hi Martin,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand the importance of implementing certain features to create a great user experience in Schoology. However, our team reviews the requests and organizes them based on the area of the product, your role in Schoology, and whether the idea fits into a larger strategic initiative. For example, we may compile a list of top requests for parents, or most important requests for assessments.

Here's an article on how the Feature Ideas Process works at Schoology for more information.

In reference to customer service not being available, dedicated support is only offered to our Enterprise Clients at this time. You can continue to submit feature ideas in this forum. However, we ask that you kindly keep one feature idea per post, as per our Community Guidelines. This helps us streamline the Community requests and easily track the votes for specific features.

It will also be helpful to title each Feature Idea regarding the subject of the idea. Both of these guidelines help other community members search for and find your Feature Ideas, and support them with upvotes.

Upvotes are needed in order for our Product Team to determine if the idea will potentially make it onto our Product Roadmap. Please repost your ideas listed above  along with separate idea posts for any other features you’d like to see in Schoology.

    Thank you for your understanding!

They clearly do not invest in their software development team.
