Instructor Q&A

Is this a new feature that Schoology is experimenting with or is it a glitch?

I'm 17 year PTECH Student and I'm curious about this weird thing that recently started popping up in the area where you can comment on Schoology posts/updates. Basically, there are these weird arrows which I have no clue why they are there. They just go up and down a few clicks and they don't do anything else. I also notice that when a box is empty(if that makes any sense), it will normally say "Write a comment". It still says that however, I can easily click erase the message which doesn't normally happen. And when I try to post a comment it will be in the same format as the words that say "Write a comment" and I'm unable to post my comment/question.

Is is this a new feature Schoology is experimenting with? Or did something go wrong?

I have a couple screenshots that I attached to this post in case anyone's confused on what I'm talking about. The areas that I'm curious about are the ones that I circled. I also made sure to blot out any of my names and personal info.

    Hi Ben,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

I am not able to replicate that behavior on my end. Does this issue continue to persist on your end?

If so, have you reviewed our System Requirements Guidelines to ensure optimal performance while using Schoology?

Please let me know if you continue to see this behavior on your end. I will be happy to take a closer look.
