Regular assignments submitting as Test/Quiz

I am having an issue with students submitting assignments in Schoology and the notification saying "Jane Doe submitted the test/quiz for Generic Assignment" even though it is posted as a regular assignment, not a test/quiz.

The biggest issue with this fact is that when it submits this way, I cannot see or access their submission. It is basically like it never happened on my end?? Any advice?

I have had several of them resubmit the assignment, and it goes through fine the second time, even when they follow the same steps.

    Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

    When you initially reported this issue, the engineering team was investigating the behavior.  The issue has now been resolved.

    Update: It seems to only be happening to students who are submitting their work with the Schoology App on their phone; though not all students submitting this way, have this issue!

    I am having this same issue and it is very frustrating. All my students are using the iPad app.

    I am having the same problem but it is happening on desktops computers and Chromebooks. Has anyone found a solution?

    I thought maybe it was fixed, because it hasn't happened in a few days but it's back today... wish someone knew what was going on!

    I had it happen for the first time today -- two students had this issue, but three were able to submit without issue.  My students all have iPads, so I assume they are using the App.

    It seems hit or miss for it to happen. Usually the students can resubmit fine but there is no rhyme or reason to why it is happening or who it is happening to!

    We are seeing the same issue on 1:1 ipads using the Schoology app.
