Instructor Q&A

Test/Quiz conversion to Assessment fail / new option?

The conversion from Test/quiz to assessment is failing and not working anymore.

1) Is there a plan to fix this issue?

2) If it's not fixed, can a new feature be implemented to import test banks (ex. Blackboard) into Assessments?

As a teacher, it costs endless hours just to re-type questions. Time that we don't have with virtual and in-class students at the same time!

Thank you!

    Hi Christina,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulty with this issue.

We’ve reported this behavior to our Engineering team with a priority of Moderate Impact. This means that we understand converting tests/quizzes to assessments is not working fully as intended, but prioritization of this issue is weighted against more urgent issues and other features we are developing.  Unfortunately, there are no known workarounds at this time.

Please let us know if there is new information about this issue that might change the priority. If it can be included in a larger scope of work or the priority changes because we missed something from you or hear back from other Schoology customers about this issue, we’ll let you know.

Otherwise, you’ll receive an update from us via this thread when the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience!

I am experiencing the same issue.  It is a shame that you introduced this feature and it is broken.  Furthermore, when importing from blackboard, it no longer defaults to an assessment but rather a question bank which is a completely useless format in Schoology.  The ability to import assessments should be a higher priority, rather than us having to recreate the entire assessment from scratch.

I have the same issue. This needs to be high priority.  Many teachers use this feature.
