Conference issues


My students cannot replay any recorded conferences.  The error messages vary from 404 Errors to not being a moderator, but the end problem is the same.  I need this fixed ASAP.


Also, why isn't there a download option for recorded conferences?  Aren't they just MP4 files?

    Hi all,

    Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

    This behavior is occurring on iPad devices. Therefore, we’ve reported this issue to our Engineering team with a priority of Moderate Impact. This means that we understand that Conference recordings cannot be played on an iPad using any web browser. Prioritization of this issue is weighted against more urgent issues and other features we are developing.

    We encourage you and your students to access those recordings using a laptop or Desktop, if possible.

    If you are experiencing this behavior on an Android or different device, please let me know. Otherwise, you’ll receive an update from us via this thread when the issue is resolved. 

    The Conferences recordings do not have the ability to be downloaded via the Schoology view. This is a feature request of the app integration. 

    However, the recordings are stored on Conferences/BigblueButton's servers, and if you want a link to the recordings, you can reach out to the Conferences/BigBlueButton team to request a link.

    I'm experiencing the same issue.

    I just used the Conferences feature today to record an hour-long synchronous conference with my students. The Conference went very well, and I successfully recorded it...the "Play" now shows up in my Completed tab in Conferences. However, when I try and play the recorded conference, I get this message:

    Error 404

    The recording could not be loaded

    The recording that you are attempting to access cannot be loaded. This may be a protected recording. If so, use the authenticated recording link from your LMS system.

    Contact support if you are still having issues.

    Do you know what this is or how I can fix and access the conference? I'm not sure what LMS system is, nor why this is a "protected recording"...???
