OneDrive Assignment Issue


I'm a tech coach for my district and I have two teachers who can access their OneDrive Resource App without any problems, but when they go to create an assignment using the OneDrive Assignment app, the window that pops up seems to be continuously loading and glitchy. The buttons are all grayed out and unclickable. So the usual solutions of having them disconnect their OneDrive and reconnect are no help. 

We can't even access the screen without it reloading and glitching.

I'm attaching a short video to show the problem.

Does anyone have a solution to this or know what the problem is?

    Hi all,

    Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community! 

    We’ve escalated this issue to our Engineering team with a priority of Moderate Impact. This means that we understand some users are encountering an infinite load when attempting to add a OneDrive assignment, but prioritization of this issue is weighted against more urgent issues and other features we are developing.

    We encourage you to use the workaround of conducting a force logout for the teacher using the following steps:

    1.Navigate to any course > Add materials > Add Assignment
    2. Copy and paste this force logout link into their browser URL:
    3. Navigate back to Add material > Add assignment and select Microsoft OneDrive  Assignments to sign back in

    Please let us know if there is new information about this issue that might change the priority. If it can be included in a larger scope of work or the priority changes because we missed something from you or hear back from other Schoology customers about this issue, we’ll let you know. 

    Otherwise, we'll update you via this thread when the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience.

    Hello, did you try going to Resources> Apps and under the OneDrive Resource App logging out and reauthorizing? At times, that has worked for us.

    Jody Miranda - Yes, we have tried that, and it hasn't helped. But I appreciate the suggestion!

    I've had a few of my teachers try this and it did not clear up the issue. Please advise the next step.

    We have a significant amount of teachers that are experiencing OneDrive issues and sometimes the browser cache clearing, reconnecting OneDrive, and other suggestions from Schoology work. However, it is inconsistent over time. The OneDrive Assignment feature works and then it doesn't. OneDrive Assignments has not been working consistently since we adopted Schoology in August.

    I am having this same issue.  I have tried logging out and logging back in, cleared the cache... my one drive is syncing and is updated.  I would really like to get this fixed so I can add some interactive PP for my kiddos to do.  If anyone has other suggestions to fix this I am willing to try them.

    We also have teachers continuously having issues with OneDrive Assignments. It's really frustrating and sometimes suggested solutions work. We've been told it's an update in Chrome that broke them, then clear the cache, reconnect the OneDrive, etc. It's happening too frequently with a variety of issues within the OneDrive Assignment - it's not the same experience for all every time. This is where it's so difficult trying to troubleshoot and support teachers with this. I've reached out for help and haven't found a concrete solution. This doesn't happen in Microsoft Teams...
