Instructor Q&A

Students cannot see rubric used to score them

I designed an assessment and on the short answers, I attached a schoology created rubric to use to score the response.

I clicked “ show rubric to student” .

I published the test.

The students cannot see the rubric ,only the score. It keeps happening using multiple browsers.

I would like to be students know the criteria used to score the answer but it is frustrating since it won’t work. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
I have tried this in two different assessments, and started over once already.

    Hi Erin,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

We've reported this issue to our Engineering team, with a priority of Moderate Impact. This means that we understand that Short Answer questions with Rubrics is not working fully as intended when the assessment is created in Resources and added to a course, but prioritization of this issue is weighted against more urgent issues and other features we are developing. We encourage you to use the workaround of creating the Assessment within the course, or editing the RTE box to add the rubric text.

Please let us know if there is new information about this issue that might change the priority. For example, the issue may impact more customers than you originally reported or affect an area of Schoology that makes this more urgent. If we missed something from you or hear back from other Schoology customers about this issue, and the priority changes, we’ll let you know. This ticket will be on hold for now.

You’ll receive an update from us via this thread when the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience.
