"Scores Pending" on Assessment

Follow

I administered an assessment to 4 sections. Of the 70 students that have already taken it, 7 have the message "scores pending". It has been this way for hours. There does not seem to be any consistency to which students are affected (they are in different periods, submitted at different times of day, etc.). How do I resolve this?

    Hi all,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

In this case, you should be able to select " Unsubmit" and then Resubmit the students assessment to complete the scores.

Please let me know if you continue to experience difficulty with this issue after following the suggested troubleshooting steps above.

I have the same issue, I have 141 students and 27 students have the status "scores pending" since yesterday. I want to score it manually but I couldn't see my students' work. Please help.

I also have student's whose scores are still pending! Mine is a quick multiple choice assessment and so others have scored completely just fine.

We have had this same issue for several teachers in our district with "scores pending." Please let us know what we need to do to correct this issue for our teachers on our enterprise account.

Same issue here. I am using the assessment tool as a daily exit ticket. And every day I have at least a handful of students who's scores say Scores Pending in green. They literally have to have me unsubmit the lesson and then they have to redo it. This autograde process is not working consistently enough to make it worth it. PLEASE FIX!

Gail, see Nina's comment up top. A bit of a hassle, but on those scores as the teacher you can click the three-dot vertical icon, unsubmit. But instead of having them redo, you as the teacher can click that same icon and select re-submit. I did this for some pretest scores and it kept the students work on the resubmission, so they did not have to redo it.

So I clicked on the three dots to the right of a grade that says Scores Pending and chose Unsubmit. When I go back to the same student it now says In Progress. If I click the three dots again I have three choices: Start Attempt, Submit, or Delete. I chose Submit. It then reverted back to a status of Scores Pending

Not be particular but you mentioned seeing an option for Re-submit. I only see Submit.

Yes, submit is the option to choose after you have manually "un-submitted" the assignment. It might say scores pending right away but it corrected itself about a minute after for me. If it still says that, try again or reply to Nina above who is Schoology support. Good luck!

Nina:  This doesn't work.  I can unsubmit, but when I submit it again...it is still Score Pending.  I have four students this consistently happens to.

I'm having the same issue. But I'll click the three dots, unsubmit it and then when I try to submit it again it doesn't push the submission through. It keeps saying "In Progress". I've tried this on three different browsers as well.

Same problems here.  Dozens of scores pending.  Very frustrating.  Missing the pencil, paper and calculator grade book.

I'm having the same problem. I tried Unsubmit and then I Rebsummited, didn't work at all. Now, it says "In Progress", I asked a student to Resubmit their answers, didn't work at all.

Having the same issues as others.  I managed to get one student to change and that took 30 minutes.  This has been a problem for a while and worse since the assessment problem that occurred two weeks ago.  Any chance it is going to be fixed?  Can not keep telling kids we are waiting on Schoology to fix when this is what they converted to from quizzes.

Our entire department is having the same issue, but it's not 1/3 of the class... it's the entire class.  I've tried to unsubmit and resubmit multiple times.  I've tried refreshing.  Is there another workaround?  Please reply.

I am also having this issue.  I have a class of students that are each taking their first three assessments (one per standard).  I see that some students have been done for some time, and yet all scores are in the "scores pending" or "in progress".  Nor have I been receiving any live progress.  Each of the assessments are being done in Lockdown Browser.

I too am having this problem. 37 students took the test, 14 are scores pending or in progress. There is nothing to see when I try to open the individual tests. Unsubmitting and resubmitting does nothing. Please advise.

Our school is having the same problem. The workaround of clicking "unsubmit" then "submit" has worked for some teachers, but hasn't worked for me yet.

I'm having the same issue. When I view as a student, only those who have a grade I am able to see their questions and all others a can see the content of question at all (only the type of question it is).

You know that scene from Jurassic Park where they go on the tour in the vehicles and none of the dinosaurs show up, and Jeff Goldblum looks into the camera and asks if there were actually supposed to be dinosaurs, then taps on the camera and says "Hello?"  That's how it feels trying to get Schoology support.

I find it laughable that the original comment was marked "Answered" because an "official" response was posted, as if to say "we've given you our answer, the rest of you should be grateful."

I'm also having the scores pending issue, 130ish students took an exam, fewer than 10% show Completed, the rest show Scores Pending.  Unsubmit and Submit have not worked, even with refreshing the page.  I've tried closing out the browser completely.  I've tried restarting the computer, I can't even get into the individual tests to see student responses.  Live Progress shows Not Started for all of them.  Reporting?  No data available.  Schoology could at least have the decency to enable creating assignments with Google Forms so we can give quizzes that way instead of trying to force us to use their broken assessment tool.

I am having this issue every day in all of my classes. It is not just a few students, it is most of them. It seems to resolve itself after 12 or so hours, but I can't tell my students how they did on the quiz because I can't even see their submission.

Schoology, please make an official response to this. Even if you just have to say, "Sorry, we are working on it."

Can we have a timeline until this is fixed?

I just had to manually go through and grade an entire class of in-person students due to this issue, which is fine, but I also have several virtual students that I am unable to manually grade the assessment for.  I have tried un-submitting and re-submitting multiple times with no luck.  Hopefully we will have a solution soon!

Same issue here- the assessments for my first period class were all scored correctly and immediately upon submission. My entire 5th period class says scores pending and there is nothing I can do to see their answers. I tried unsubmitting and resubmitting for a few students, but nothing changed. It was all matching and multiple choice questions, so there should be no reason for the delay in seeing their scores.

I am still having the same problem with "scores pending", also sometimes schoology is un responsive.

I tried to "unsubmit" and "submit" but is not working.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks.
