Audio Issues with conferences

Follow

Hello,

When I am in schoology conferences and I share my screen with a google slide lesson, the videos that I have embedded into the google slides will not play out audio for the students to hear but I can hear it on my end. I can't upload a link because links from a google drive are not supported. How do I get the students to hear the video embedded in the slides while sharing my screen in schoology conferences?

    Hi all,

    Thank you for your patience.

Big Blue Button applied a fix on 10/7/20 to change the recording format. They mentioned this fix should fix the issue for any new sessions created after 10/7/20.  If you continue to experience difficulty with this issue, please let me know.

I also need help with this so that I don't have mega hours of work before me to correct the issue.  I can use could conver to change the file to an M4A file and go to all of the work to re-link everything.  I have hundreds of audio files embedded in Google Slides to assist my virtual students.  We went Schoology at the last minute in my district.

Please, please, please tell me that there's a way that I don't have to relink things.

    Thanks you

Has anyone found a solution to this? Teachers are trying to play videos for their students, but the students can't hear the audio from the video on the shared screen.

I am having the exact same issue!!!!

When I share screen of you tube videos, getepic.com (Epic books read aloud), the students can see the video but can not hear the sound.

when I hit the blue plus circle plus sign on the bottom left of the screen to share the the video that way with the external link, the audio and video has issues and the students can control it....

    Help....I really need this fixed!!!!

Yes! I had this exact problem and it turned out to be the noise cancelling feature on my laptop. I was able to pair a bluetooth speaker to my laptop and now my students can hear the videos play. As far as I have found, there is no way to turn off the noise cancelling on my laptop as it is a built-in feature of the hardware.
