co- teacher as admin in Schoology class


Hi Folks,

I've been using Schoology for a few years. Every year, I sign a co-teacher up for classes by "enrolling admin". These teachers are never able to fully access student work on Schoology, and are unable to read and score assignments with the same authority I do. Frustrating! Any advice to make it possible for enrolled admins to actually function as admins?

    Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community! 

    Additional course admins should have the same functionality to view and manage materials in the course. The only exception is that only the course creator or original admin is able to add additional sections. You can read about adding co-teachers here

    Is it possible that the co-teachers you're adding to your course have a different role in your district?

    For example, instead of the instructor role, they could be under something like tutor or paraprofessional, which might have different permission settings at the district-level management of Schoology. This could prevent them from accessing a full range of course-level capabilities. To find out more about your district's specific settings, you can reach out to your designated Support Contact. You can do so by logging into your Schoology account, scrolling to the bottom of the page, and clicking Support in the footer. This will prompt a pop-up window with your Support Contact who you'll be able to message by clicking the envelope icon next to their name.
