my child has two accounts

Follow

My son has two accounts with the same login information.  One has his courses, groups and resources on the blue bar.  However there are no courses listed.  The other account (which has the name of his high school under his name) has his courses but does not have the "resources" tab on the blue bar.  He can upload assignments to the first account, but can not submit them as it shows he has no courses.  And the second account does not allow him to upload assignments.  So, we can't submit homework.  How can we merge these accounts or have his courses show up in the first one?

    Hi Jake,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

I see our Support team has already reached out to you regarding this issue. To clarify, one account is the parent account and the other account is the student account. The parent account is not enrolled in any courses so this is why you don't see courses in this account. The parent account is associated with the student account so you can access it from there. Based on parent account functionality and district-level settings, parent accounts may not have access to the same Schoology features as the student account when viewing as the child account. We can more information on viewing the child account here: Schoology Home Page: Your Parent account compared to your child's Schoology information

To access Resources and submit assignments, your son should log into their student account (not the parent account). If you're unsure of the login credentials, you can reach out to the Support Contact at the school directly to confirm.

    I hope this information helps!

    Best,
