Changing Schools within the same district

Follow

Most of the posts are 2+ years old regarding this subject, so my hopes are that Schoology has figured out a more simple solution than merging, creating a new account,etc... Is there a simple way to simply change my school name & affiliation without starting all over? I am in the same district, and my school has been absorbed by the already in existence Scott County High School, but no longer exists as a separate entity of the Ninth Grade School.

    Hi Amanda,

There is not a way to change the building association on your current account nor is it possible to associate school buildings with a district when using the Basic version of Schoology. Each school building is its own standalone entity and Basic instructors can affiliate their account with one school building accordingly.

In this case, you should create a new Basic account under the correct school building. You can make a Connection with your previous Schoology account in order to share your course materials. You can find full instructions here

    I hope this helps!
