table formatting options?

Follow

Our school is just starting the transition to Schoology and I'd like to make better use the space on a Page (Add Materials > Add Page) by having my content in two columns. The only way I can think to do that is by creating a two column table. However, the only formatting options for tables appear to be to turn the border on or off and to set the horizontal text alignment. However, when using tables in other platforms or applications, I'm used to being able to also change the padding between cells and change the vertical alignment of text - but it doesn't appear I can do that in Schoology without switching to the html view.

So, am I missing some table formatting options? If not, and it's not possible to adjust those settings, is there another way to put content on a Page in two columns?

    Hi Colin,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

When creating tables in the rich text editor, you can add a border, insert/delete rows and columns, and merge/split cells. For further formatting, you can use the HTML editor. Additionally, you can copy and paste a table into the page. This can be useful when formatting the cell padding. Please note that some formatting may not copy over, such as horizontal alignment. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
