Instructor Q&A

Clearing Resubmission Notifications

I have read through several posts about the resubmission issue, and still feel that my questions are unanswered, so I am asking here:

1. I cannot figure out hot to tell which student resubmitted an item. I get the Resubmitted notification, but when I click it I simply am taken back to the submissions, with no indication of which student's work I should be looking at I missing something/

2. Can I manually remove a notification? I have had a "1 resubmitted assignment" notification for quite awhile now, and due to issue number 1, haven't been able to see which it is. Is there a way I can clear out the notifications?

    Hi Candace,

    Thanks for posting your questions!

    1. You'll be able to tell which student made a resubmission by the small page icon (see screenshot). If you hover over the icon it indicates the student made a new resubmission.

    2. Using the method above, identify the resubmission and provide a grade or exception for the resubmission. That notification will then be removed from the system.

Please let me know if this information helps!

How do I delete/clear notifications so I'm not wading through months of old notifications?

    Hi Melinda,

While there currently is no quick way to clear old notifications without entering each item and either marking it as an exception, providing a grade or marking the item as ungraded - this sounds like a great idea for a new feature in Schoology.

Please consider posting your idea in our Feature Ideas forum located here:

    Thank you!

Maybe a "Clear All" button for assignment submissions notifications would be helpful

Edit: I'll post this under the feature requests if it doesn't already exist
