"Courses" or "Groups" for HSA/PTO/PTA

Good afternoon. Please forgive me if this question/ideas has been posed before. I did not search through all of the posts but I will attempt to do so when I have time.

I emailed Schoology three times for a response to this inquiry and have not heard back from them so I am reaching out to the masses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could an "HSA/PTO/PTA" course be created in Schoology for schools? This way, HSA announcements, events, files, etc. can be shared in an internal, private, safe space? It might also be a good place for people to post questions and get quick responses (such as for things that might not be on the calendar, like class parties... "Do any parents of kids in Ms. Smith's class know when the Halloween party is going to be?" or other inquiries such as "Does anyone have an extra Sav-A-Lot book?" etc.).

At my former school in NC, we had a very active HSA Facebook page. One concern was membership (I would ONLY allow people in that I knew for a fact to be parents of students at the school, for the purposes of security, and that is a daunting job), however, if the parents are already in Schoology due to being given class codes for their children, then that is not an issue.

If a "course" can't be created for the HSA, then what about a "Group"? Are conversations still possible this way (with parent logins)? Are documents able to be uploaded?
