Foreign Language Keyboard

Follow

Within the Test/Quiz assessment tool an option is for a Spanish keyboard however, the new assessment tool does not allow for this option.  I'd really like this brought forward to the new tool.

Can you switch/add a Spanish keyboard or the English international keyboard? That's what we do on our Think pads.

Please add keyboards in Assessments for both French and Spanish.

With the existing Spanish option, any Latin/Romance language accents should be an easily added feature. Please add them!

Yes, it would be great to be able to add accents.

I had an idea last night.  Add the "accents letters" option to the set up like the calculator and ruler are options.  Their could be a box with the accented letters that a student could access and click when typing short answers and essays.  This is the simplest idea.

Second, would be to add the option of "insert special characters" next to the Bold, Italics, and Underline options for students.

It is extremely important for me to have the foreign language (at least Spanish & French) keyboard on the new assessment tool. I can't assess my student's written abilities without it.

Until you add that feature to the new assessment tool, please don't take away the old Test/Quiz tool. Otherwise, it is near impossible for me to use schoology as a resource.

I teach math, but work with my colleagues in the foreign language department. They would love to transition to the new assessment tool, but can't without the ability to use accents. Please add!

Spanish is supported in Assessments, French is not.

Many of our foreign language teachers are very concerned about this issue.  It makes many of the Schoology features useless to them.

Schoology has improved upon this issue by allowing special characters however, this is only in short answer / essay questions.  It isn't an option for fill in the blank.  I'm not sure why there is a difference.
