    Hi all,

Regardless of your role within Schoology, if you are enrolled in a course as a member, you can only be removed from the course by the course administrator.

If you would like to support a feature request for members to be able to drop courses, please consider providing an upvote to this Feature Idea post: Leave a course without asking for permission

    Hi Ciera,

That’s a great question! As a student, you don’t have the ability to drop a course or change course sections. You can contact your teacher to have them un-enroll you. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Best,
    Nicki

What if you are a teacher but you enrolled in a class?  Do we have to wait for the teacher to un-enroll us still?

I've been enrolled in a Demo class for years. The admin is not responding to requests to remove me. It isn't a big deal, but I'd like to clean up my class list.

I need to change my role from student to teacher, and I contacted my teacher to unenroll to in his classes in order to delete my account and recreate one as a teacher, according to the guidence online.

So, if there any other option to drop some previous class since my teacher didn't respond?

    Hi Will,

Basic users can only be removed from a course by the course admin.

If you'd like, you can make a new account with a different email address.
