Can't see comments

Follow

I'm enrolled in a course, and while I can see that people commented on materials or discussion, I can't actually see what they said. Instead their words are greyed out---It's sections of just grey blocks. How can I see what they wrote?

    Hi Kelly,

It sounds like your course instructor has selected the option that requires members to post to the discussion before revealing other members' post. Once you create a post on the discussion, the rest of the posts should not be grayed out.

Can anyone help? My elementary school son has a discussion board, but when we go to the board, there is no text box for him to reply. He can't see other's posts so he can't respond/reply to his classmates. Also, the teacher says that when she switches to my son's view on her computer, it works just fine. I have sifted through all of the settings, I've tried calling customer support, and I have tried contacting the school district....no one can seem to figure out what is wrong...

    Thanks for any help!

One of my students is also experiencing greyed out comments on discussions even after posting. My other students are able to see everything just fine. Is there a setting or something he needs to change?

    Our issue has been resolved.
Mrs. Mayes, I was logged into my son's account under MY email address and even though it said that I was viewing as my son, we were unable to see anything. The schoology support told me to completely log out and sign in using the students credentials, i.e. their school email and password. Once we did that, everything was visible and my son was able to post his answer. I hope that helps!
