Red "Incomplete" indicator should count as 0 points.

Follow

So that students and parents can fully appreciate the impact of an incomplete assignment, please make the red "incomplete" indicator count as 0 points, rather than the current practice that merely indicates an incomplete and does not alter a student's grade.

Wait, really?? An incomplete does NOT alter a student's grade!? What's the purpose then!? Please do fix this!

Agreed, our staff would like to have the incomplete grades factor as zeros as this would provide students/parents with an accurate grade reflecting their work and provide more incentive to complete missing assignments.

Or create a missing grade option that indicates missing work. Having a mark to indicate late work would also be helpful

This feature is important because it would accurately reflect the "real time" grade for both students and parents to view without simply putting in a 0

The red indicator will also make it easier for a student/parent/counselor to quickly identify that there is an issue with that particular assignment.

This is needed for students, parents, and teachers to see a true current grade.

Having that mark count as a missing assignment would be very important to teachers, parents, and students. It would create much less confusion and give the students a real updated grade if they never turn that assignment in. Please update this feature.

this would be GREAT--this is similar to what I do in PowerSchool so it would be nice to see it in Schoology as well

The fact that I place pacing 0's becomes a management NIGHTMARE with my 300+ students. BUT, if I don't place the 0, the kids/parents think all is well. Schoology please fix this.

If something is incomplete/not finished it should alert the student to actually do the assignment. The way our students view their grades on the iPad initially shows them just a letter grade, they have to do additional clicking to find out what may be missing. If the grade reflects the incomplete, students will be more inclined to find out why and fix the problem.

I would very much like this feature as would all of the staff in my school so that students can really see how not completing work affects their grade. Maybe there could be an option under gradebook settings which lets the administrator choose whether 'incomplete' counts as zero or not?

Why isn't this an option?!! It doesn't make any sense for an incomplete assignment to be EXEMPT. Please fix this ASAP!!

Please add this feature. Incomplete is not useful for our school without it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Listen to these comments.  I am new to schoology and DESPERATELY need this feature as well.  We have issues with students not turning in assignments more than no completing them.  And Incomplete doesn't change their grade, it might as well be the same as excused.
