I love how you can individually assign various things in Schoology. How much better would it be if we could individually assign a whole folder? It would allow teachers to differentiate in the classroom and provide extension or reteach for the students at their levels. I would love to see my whole class studying the same material but doing it in a bunch of different ways, at their levels.

I'm very pleased to announce that we’ve built a new way to differentiate instruction with assigned folders!
Course admins can now individually assign folders to specific members and grading groups so that only the assignees can view the folder and its contents. Any materials added to the folder are automatically updated to be available to the assigned member(s).
Additionally, this new workflow for individually assigning folders includes the ability to "Select All" members in a course section. This should reduce the clicks needed to exclude specific members without needing to build a grading group.

I think that would be a great tool to have with the emphasis on differentiation for students in the classroom.
I'd actually push this out to say - 'Individually Assign ANYTHING'

This would be a great feature. This also has some great power for professional development and expanding the way information is delivered. With folders you could create role-based training folders, then use grading groups to individually assign a folder and all the contents within it.
Definitely need this feature. Also like reminders, fee payments or any broadcast item that will appear when the open the course just above the Materials Index. These need to be student specific. I would like to assign a specific resource to specific set of students based on the completion of other things using a password. The opportunity to add them based on a timed event will be great.
Agreed this would be a great feature. Especially if an Administrator would like to share information with one or a group of teachers so not everyone in the course has access.
