We are a new school to Schoology and I am shocked to discover today that parents can not receive notifications of events which occur in their children's classes or groups. This page from the Parent Guide (https://support.schoology.com/hc/en-us/articles/201000803-Personal-Account-Parent-Notifications) says, ""Schoology sends you email notifications for Social, Academic, Group, and School activity that occurs in your account. These notifications pertain to the school, courses, and groups in which you participate." What about courses in which your child participates?
We are a school and our parents don't take classes - their children do! Our parents expect to be able to receive notifications when new materials, assignments and updates are posted to their kids' courses. Yes, Schoology will send them a daily (or weekly) digest of new data but, in today's connected world, many of our parents want more than that.
Please give parents the ability to receive (and control) notifications for each of their childrens' courses.
